The darkly seductive atmosphere is exactly what I was hoping for, and the way the sisters' stories intertwine kept me hooked from page one. The midway setting feels so vivid and strange, it’s like stepping into another world.
I wasn’t sure about the multitasking angle at first, but the way the sisters’ stories weave together kept me turning pages late into the night. The dark, carnival atmosphere is so vivid I could almost smell the popcorn and hear the calliope.
Just finished the twisted carousel scene and I'm genuinely impressed by how the sisters' backstory unfolds between the dark midway segments. The way it forces you to juggle multiple threads actually added to the creepy, disorienting mood instead of feeling like busywork.
